Warehousing that’s part of your supply chain
Storage is only useful if it connects properly to the movement around it. At HGL Oceania, our warehousing facilities are a working part of your supply chain —receiving freight directly from port or airport, holding goods under customs bond where required, and releasing them into distribution once they’re cleared and ready.
We operate Authorised Transit Facility (ATF) warehousing at Auckland Airport, Wellington, and Christchurch, giving us the ability to store goods under customs control, manage bonded stock, handle e-commerce fulfilment, and distribute pallets and cartons across New Zealand. Because we also manage freight, customs clearance, and container transport, your goods don’t need to change hands between your warehouse and the rest of your logistics operation —one team looks after the full movement.

HGL Oceania’s warehousing capability covers a broad range of storage, handling, and fulfilment requirements across multiple New Zealand locations.

For groupage containers being broken down before customs clearance, managed directly within our operation.

E-commerce fulfilment
Goods receipt, storage, pick and pack, and despatch for online retailers importing stock from overseas.
In Practice
Warehousing supports a wide range of import, storage, and fulfilment scenarios. Here’s where businesses typically call on us.
Import holding and customs release
Goods arriving from overseas held in our ATF facility while customs clearance is completed, then released directly into distribution once cleared —without the freight leaving our hands or requiring a separate provider.
E-commerce fulfilment
Online retailers importing stock from offshore suppliers —goods received at the warehouse, stored, and despatched to customers on a pick-and-pack basis as orders come in.
Ongoing 3PL for importers and distributors
Businesses that want to outsource their warehousing and distribution entirely —we receive stock, manage inventory, and handle distribution across New Zealand as an extension of their own operation.
Bonded storage for regulated goods
Goods subject to customs duty stored under bond until required, deferring duty payment until stock is released —useful for importers managing cash flow or goods held for potential re-export.
Container breakdown and distribution
Full container loads received, devanned, sorted, and distributed to multiple destinations —managed end-to-end from the same warehouse facility.
Short-term overflow storage
Businesses needing flexible additional space during peak seasons or between facility transitions —short-term storage without a long-term commitment.

Why Choose HGL Oceania for Warehousing
ATF-accredited across three NZ locations
AuthorisedTransit Facility status at Auckland Airport, Wellington, and Christchurch means we can hold goods under customs control and integrate warehousing directly into the import process. It’s a regulated, accredited capability that gives importers a genuine operational advantage.
Dangerous goods authorised
We’re approved to store dangerous and hazardous goods, with the compliance procedures, handling requirements, and documentation in place before anything arrives at the facility.
Warehousing connected to yourfreight movement
Because HGL Oceania manages ocean freight, air freight, container transport, and customs clearance, your warehousing isn’t isolated. Goods move from port to warehouse to distribution without changing providers —one team responsible throughout —complete oversight, complete accountability.
Beyond storage —3PL and fulfilment capability
We offer pick, pack, order fulfilment, 3PL management, and distribution from the same facility, backed by computerised stock reporting. For businesses that need more than a storage shed, we can manage the whole distribution operation.
Flexible terms, short or long
Whether you need two weeks of import holding or an ongoing fulfilment arrangement, we work to your requirements —flexible terms, built around how your business operates.
How Our Warehousing Works
Goods received
Freight arrives at the warehouse —directly from port, airport, or via road cartage handover. We check it in against your documentation and record stock into our computerised management system.
Storage and compliance
Goods are placed in the appropriate facility —standard warehouse, ATF (under customs bond), or specialist dangerous goods storage —depending on their clearance status and handling requirements.

Pick, pack, and fulfilment
For customers using our 3PL or e-commerce fulfilment service, we process orders as they arrive —picking, packing, labelling, and preparing consignments for despatch.
Despatch and distribution
Stock is released to your nominated address, distribution centre, or end customer —via pallet or carton distribution, container transport, or road cartage —managed by the same team that received it.
